TUMOR - “AAAAARGH THE 82 SONX - 50 MINUTES” CD

$16.99

The tracks 01 – 37 were recorded and mixed live and without overdubs at the youth center „Kora“ in Hamburg (Bergedorf-Lohbrügge)/Germany by Jan Krause on June 24 and 25, 1995. All songs were „composed“ just before they were recorded. The songs 01 – 32 ended up on the „Splattered human goulash“-10“ LP, which was released in winter 1995/1996 on the German label T.V.G. RECORDS in an edition of 800 copies on green vinyl. The record has not been re-pressed to date. 33 – 37 are outtakes that were not used for the album, as the band considered them unusable at the time. However, the complete recording session is included on the 2013 „Discography“ 4 x CD box set on the Italian label F.O.A.D. RECORDS. TUMOR at that time consisted of: Andi (throat), Stoffel (guitar/backing vokills), Kay (bass/backing vokills) and Emu (drums).

Tracks 38 – 82 are taken from a lost rehearsal room tape, which Stoffel discovered by accident in 2021 in a dusty cassette box of Ölaf (W.B.I.). Research revealed that Ölaf had diligently traded tapes with Matthias, the TUMOR guitarist at the time, in the early 90s and thus obtained this recording. Needless to say, Stoffel immediately confiscated the tape, digitized it and added it to the TUMOR archive. The session was recorded on November 24 and 25, 1990 in a garage in Ebendorf/Germany (not far from Magdeburg) and documents the period between the „Implosion of bowels“ demo tape (recorded on July 21, 1990) and the split 7“ EP with NOISESLAUGHTER (recorded on May 4, 1991). This cassette is most probably the only existing copy and, due to the accidental finding, not part of the „Discography“ 4 x CD box. By means of this CD this rehearsal recording is released for the very first time! TUMOR consisted at this time of: Andi (throat), Matthias (guitar/backing vokills) and Gunnar (drums).
